After years of planning and hard work, hundreds of Enterprise residents got to walk in the door of the city’s new recreation and aquatic center.

“From the new gymnasium and completely renovated Moose Hope Gym to fitness equipment and free weights, program space, locker rooms, concessions, pool, and more, this will be an opportunity for everyone to come out and see this state-of-the-art facility,” said Blake Moore, Interim Director of Community Services and Recreation. “We are excited to welcome our citizens into the facility that will serve our community for years to come.”

The pool will not be open, but visitors can see the six, 25-yard lane pool. The pool will have general and competition swimming on one side and a water play structure on the other side. There will also be a pool house and locker rooms. The pool is only open during the season, April through September. [WDHN]

The Clemson University Athletic Department announced a series of fan experience and stadium enhancements at Doug Kingsmore Stadium for the 2025 home season, which begins Feb. 19 when the Tigers host Presbyterian in their home opener.

The upgrades enhance Doug Kingsmore Stadium, already one of the top venues for college baseball in the nation. Clemson has had a top-20 national figure in average home attendance for 31 straight seasons, including a school-record 5,060 fans per home date in 2024.

The Tigers look to continue their momentum under third-year Head Coach Erik Bakich, who led the program to 44-win seasons in 2023 and 2024 and an NCAA Super Regional appearance in 2024. [Clemson Tigers]

Less than a year after unveiling major renovations to its athletic facilities, Dothan High School is making further improvements, with upgrades underway for its baseball, softball, and track venues.

Construction, which began in September 2024, includes tiered seating, a resurfaced track, and additional storage space. The track venue will also receive new bleachers, enhancing the experience for both athletes and spectators. The $1 million project aims to elevate Wolves’ athletics and ensure top-tier facilities as the school competes at the 7A level.
