A student was killed in another shooting at a high school football game over the weekend, the second such incident in as many weeks.
The West Baton Rouge School Board on Saturday released a statement confirming that a student was killed during the shooting, which took place at halftime during a game between Port Allen High School and Brusly High School.
"We are deeply saddened by the shooting that took place at the Port Allen High/Brusly High football game on Friday night," the statement read. "Our first priorities at this time are to assist the family of the student who died, and all our students, and to assist the West Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office in its investigation."

The game was cancelled following the shooting, and the name of the student was not released.
No arrest has yet been made, and an investigation is ongoing.
The shooting in Baton Rouge comes after a number of gun incidents marred high school football's opening weekend at the end of August. Gunshots on the visitor side of the stadium at Choctaw High School during the third quarter of a game against Del City High School resulted in four people being injured, leaving one student dead.
