My name is Ryan Lundy. I graduated form York College of PA with a B.S. in Recreation Administration. I recently worked for Power Fit Kids for the past six months until being laid off. I am currently a Youth Sports Official on Saturdays at the Phoenixville YMCA. I was recently certified in CPR. How do I gain experience in working in sports performance?I want to own a couple someday? Are there any classes I can take?

I'm very interested in owning my own Sports Facility, I have no previous experience other than being a member to a local gym. I would like to know what steps do I need to follow in order to operate and own? Also what resources would I need to keep it running. I will like to focus on all around fitness and specialize with football, basketball, track and soccer training. I would like to make this happen in two to three years. I want a family filled facility that will bring a community together and local athletes to be trained for their next level. I'm not in this field but I do have the passion for health and wellness as well as giving back to the community. Thank you for your time and hope to hear from you.

We have a local youth athletic group that would like to install a 5' X 10' football score board at field in a local park. The letters on the score board are 18’ high. This is a field with a few small sets of bleachers where most of the fans stand about 15’ from the sidelines on both sides of the field. This is not a stadium field. The score board would be installed about 20’ behind the south end zone. Are there any recommendations for how high this score board should be installed on the two I-beam supports?

I'm looking for a local Dallas installer that knows how to install the rolled RB rubber product. I have the manpower to help, but I'd like a knowledgable person to help guide the project. Anyone out there with verifiable experience? Thanks, Harold

We recently had a fire sprinkler go off in our gymnasium subsequently flooding and requiring us to do a full floor replacement. We are a membership based community center and as a result have had many questions about refunds for memberships, etc. The rest of our facility including fitness center, running track, and 3 pools will remain open for members. My question to others who have found themselves in similar situations is: 1. What was your response to your membership? Did you provide any refunds, membership extensions, etc? Did you do a blanket policy for all members or handle on a case-by-case basis? Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks, Justin

Hello, thanks in advance if someone can respond to my question. I just took over the marketing for a hotel in Portland that has two universities nearby. They want to offer discounts and go after the group business of competing teams, but it's a vertical they have never pursued before. My question is, who at a university typically makes travel decisions and books the hotel rooms? The athletic director of the specific sport? Someone higher up or in a different department? Thank you for your time!

Converting an old Grocery Store into an indoor soccer facility. In the area that I live it takes approximately 40 minutes to get to the nearest indoor soccer facility, if traffic is good. In the town that I live in we have a sizeable grocery store not in use that would be perfect for an indoor soccer facility and possibly large enough to put other athletic areas in it as well. How would one go about proposing a business plan or get funding to do a project like this. I know for sure if we had the facility it would get a lot of business.

I'm looking for any guidelines and/or regulations regarding the dangers of storing items on the top row seat of telescoping gym seating. Recently we had a situation where a item was placed on the top seat for storage. The seats were closed and later the item fell and struck a passerby. Is this an event that happens often? It is common sense that this practice is dangerous and should be on the list of things not to do.
